Shipping & Returns

Atmospheric Adventures is committed to getting pieces, parts, and gadgets to you as quickly as possible. We provide this information to help our customers understand what they can expect from the delivery services we have available. In addition, our policies on returns can be found at the next underlined section below, after our shipping information.

 

Services Provided:

Atmospheric Adventures ships customer orders domestically, and internationally through the United States Postal Service (USPS), and the United Parcel Service (UPS).

Rules For Shipping:

1.We will not ship orders to Freight Forwarding Addresses. We ship internationally to just about any country in the world.

2.We will not ship orders to Hotel Addresses. Please provide a permanent street address.

3.Shipments to PO Boxes will be reviewed on a case by case basis, and may be declined.

4.All orders that are declined by Atmospheric Adventures due to any of the above rules are voided with your method of payment, and the order will be cancelled.

Shipping within the United States:

We believe that USPS Priority Mail is an excellent way to ship within the US. This option will normally result in your package being delivered to you in 2-3 business days for a reasonable cost. USPS Priority Mail has a better delivery time than UPS Ground, which can take up to 5 business days. The USPS provides tracking information on Priority Mail for USA residents. We recommend choosing USPS Priority mail over more expensive options like UPS Ground and UPS 3-Day as your package will arrive faster.

International Shipping:

Shipping internationally can prove to be expensive, and various shipping options can take a long time to arrive at the destination. Choosing USPS First Class can take weeks to deliver. These shipments are often held in outgoing and incoming customs once the package arrives in your country. All USPS options are handed from the USPS to the local post office in your country which can lead to delays, and issues regarding tracking information. The USPS does not provide tracking information for First Class International Mail. Even options that should provide tracking, such as Priority and Express, often show irregular tracking details.

We strongly recommend using a shipping method that is more reliable than USPS First Class, such as USPS Priority or UPS, for international orders. If you care about receiving your package, and the cost is above $40 USD then USPS Priority or UPS is the way to go.

If you are thinking about using USPS Express for international shipments, then we urge you to consider UPS instead. USPS Express international is handled much the same way as USPS First Class, and you could find yourself waiting weeks to receive your package. Choosing UPS ensures that your shipment will remain in their possession for the entire length of transit, and you will be provided with excellent tracking information throughout. UPS Worldwide Saver is the fastest shipping method for international orders, providing 2-Day delivery to just about anywhere in the world at only a slightly more expensive cost than USPS Express.

Almost all of the packages we send will arrive at their international destination even if the shipment has been delayed. We’ve seen packages swallowed by the black hole of shipping only to be delivered weeks later.

Where is my shipment?

If you would like to check on the delivery status of your order, please refer to the shipping email you have received that contains your tracking number. Depending on the shipping method that you have chosen, you can track your package on USPS.com, or UPS.com.

When will my order ship?

Atmospheric Adventures will do our best to ship orders on the same day if the order is placed before noon (EST), however, we cannot guarantee a short processing time. We recommend waiting at least 1 business day from the time you place your order for it to be shipped.

 

Atmospheric Adventures Merchandise Authorization Terms and Conditions

Prior Authorization for Product Returns and General Policies:

Prior to returning a product to Atmospheric Adventures, you must first acquire authorization to return the product, as well as a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA) from Atmospheric Adventures. The RMA is found on the Product Return PDF that can be accessed after your return request has been approved. You must display the RMA number in a visible area on the outside of the box (in large print with a black marker on the top of the box works well), and also include a copy of your Product Return PDF. If you return the item without the Product Return PDF or RMA number, your returned item will not be accepted, and it will be returned back to you. Atmospheric Adventures may require a 10% restocking fee for returned products at its sole discretion. Restocking fees do not apply to defective products. All products returned to Atmospheric Adventures must be packaged well to avoid any damage during shipping, and must be sent with a shipping method that provides tracking information (UPS Ground, or USPS Priority Mail). Atmospheric Adventures will not be held responsible for damage that occurs to returned products during transit. If a customer would like to return a product for refund, Atmospheric Adventures requires that the product and its packaging be in un-used, “like new” condition including: original packaging, cables, manuals, and everything etc. that originally came with the product, or the return product will not be accepted. Make sure you inspect your return product thoroughly before shipping, as any sign of wear or use will result in the return product being refused. No items will be approved for exchange or return after 30 days from the date of purchase. Products that are “Made to Order” such as custom built “Ready to Fly” models cannot be returned.

Defective Products

Atmospheric Adventures will approve defective products being returned for exchange only. Please understand that if Atmospheric Adventures is unable to replicate the issue(s) you are having with the product, the item will be returned back to you, and you will be charged for the return shipping. Atmospheric Adventures, at its sole discretion, will determine whether or not a product is to be considered defective. Atmospheric Adventures will not be held liable for any equipment that might have been lost and/or damaged as a result of defective products. For example, if a video transmitter you have purchased from Atmospheric Adventures is defective and stops working during flight resulting in the loss of your airframe, Atmospheric Adventures may replace the defective video transmitter, but will not replace any other equipment that may have been lost and/or damaged due to the defective video transmitter.

 

Shipping Costs

  1. If you return an item for refund, or if you are exchanging a functional product, you are responsible for the cost of shipping.
  2. If you are exchanging a defective item, or an item you received by mistake because of a packaging error at Atmospheric Adventures’ facility, Atmospheric Adventures will refund you the return shipping cost once we have received, and processed your RMA.
  3. For any items returned to Atmospheric Adventures, Atmospheric Adventures will not cover the cost of “expedited” shipping. We recommend choosing a standard shipping option that provides tracking information such as UPS Ground, or USPS Priority Mail.
